PNP ‘no info’ on Dela Rosa whereabouts; ICC warrant still unverified

The Philippine National Police (PNP) said on Tuesday, December 9, that it still has no confirmed information on the whereabouts of Senator Ronald ‘Bato’ Dela Rosa amid continued speculation over a possible arrest warrant from the International Criminal Court (ICC).

According to Acting PNP Chief Lt. General Jose Melencio Nartatez Jr., the police force has not received any verified report on the senator’s current location.

Meanwhile, Nartatez stressed that the PNP has not been furnished with any official arrest warrant that would authorize the arrest of Dela Rosa.

Earlier, Former Presidential Spokesperson Harry Roque publicly claimed that an ICC warrant against the senator had already been issued.

In response, Ombudsman Jesus Crispin Remulla said the last known location of dela Rosa was in Pampanga.

The former police chief is among those facing allegations of crimes against humanity before the ICC.

Dela Rosa has remained notably absent from Senate sessions following the emergence of the alleged warrant issue.

The PNP maintains that it will act only upon official communication coursed through proper legal channels.
