Meraki

Days feel like years as they pass

Each with lackluster moments, I can’t stand

Fading in my head, I barely understand

Even so, I try my best in every class

No man can blow the spark in me

Dim it might be, the fire remains

Pour out flames to break my chains

Refusing each deal, they urge me to plead

Every letter I write, for them alone

Silence etched in almost every line

Speak, I try, yet I’m met with bitter wine

Forever, I shall win battles on my own

Rest, well, I do not know her name

Embodying the wands, that I shall do

Earth shall witness strength they never knew

Death may have failed to perfect its aim

O, how I yearn to reach for the stars

Maybe one day I shall join their ranks so far
