The Caloocan City government announced that it will distribute around 10,000 tablets and 1,500 laptops to support public school learners and educators in adapting to new and improved methods of teaching and learning.
According to city officials, the devices will be turned over to the Schools Division Office (SDO), which will handle the distribution to beneficiaries and ensure the continued integration of modern technology in classrooms.
Caloocan City Mayor Dale Gonzalo “Along” Malapitan said the local government will continue to prioritize the digitalization of education programs and address the growing need to support students’ learning requirements.
He also emphasized that what matters most is the city’s continued effort to provide modern facilities for Caloocan’s students.
Malapitan further noted that the city government first focused on improving the learning environment by providing decent classrooms and facilities where students can work and study.
The next step, he said, is supplying more gadgets.
The mayor added that the city government aims to complete the distribution of tablets and laptops to beneficiary schools by the end of 2025.
