South Korean boy group BTS has officially returned to the spotlight as their latest album, Arirang, takes center stage in the first stop of their newest world tour in Goyang despite heavy rain.
After more than three years of hiatus due to solo activities and military service, BTS finally kicked off the Arirang world tour at Goyang Stadium in Seoul, South Korea, on April 9, 2026, following the record-breaking success of their new album.
Jimin, BTS’ main dancer, admitted feeling “frustrated and stressed” because of the downpour, but assured fans that their presence mattered most to the group.
BTS performed 12 of the album’s 14 tracks, leaving out One More Night and the lyricless song No. 29, alongside several fan favorites from past albums, including Dynamite and Butter.
The Arirang world tour is BTS’ first since 2019’s Love Yourself, ending a six-year gap in global touring.
The concert tour will run until March 2027, covering more than 80 stops across five continents.
The band is also set to perform in Manila, Philippines, on March 13 and 14, 2027, marking the final stop of the world tour.
