Rep. Barzaga, naghain ng ethics complaint vs. Rep. Puno

Naghain ng ethics complaint si Cavite 4th District Rep. Francisco 'Kiko' Barzaga laban kay Antipolo 1st District Rep. Ronaldo Puno dahil sa mga misconduct nito sa Kamara. Sa reklamong inihain noong Setyembre 23, nabanggit ni Rep. Barzaga na nilabag ng kongresista ang Article III Section I ng 1987 Constitution matapos sabihing may mental illness ang nasabing mambabatas nang walang patunay. “The respondent has not successfully discharged the burden of overcoming the presumption that the Petitioner has a mental condition and constitutes a defamatory statement which is punishable under Republic Act 10175 (Cybercrime Prevention Act of 2012),” saad ni Rep. Barzaga. Aniya, hindi lang nawala ang due process para sa indibidwal kundi pati rin ang pagiging patas sa paglalabas ng mga isyu bunsod ng kulang na mga ebidensya. “And secondly, the reasoning behind the complaint of Chairman Puno — the fact that we speculated is because of political dissent — the reason why they chose to file a complaint against me,” dagdag ni Rep. Barzaga. Tugon naman ni Rep. Puno, sasagutin niya lamang ang mga reklamo kapag naipasa na ito sa Committee on Ethics, at naaayon sa hakbang na kanilang ibibigay. Samantala, nanawagan din si Rep. Barzaga na magbitiw sa puwesto si House Speaker Faustino 'Bojie' Dy III dahil umano sa malapit nitong relasyon kay dating House Speaker Martin Romualdez. Pahayag ng kongresista, umaasa siyang papalitan niya si Rep. Dy, ngunit maaari ring umano si Navotas Lone District Rep. Toby Tiangco dahil isa siya sa mga unang bumatikos kay Rep. Romualdez.
